U.S. military veterans are people who have given so much of themselves for others, and it’s a shame to see many of them fall through the cracks of our current system. Many do not have insurance or cannot afford it. Those who do have medical and dental insurance sometimes face insufficient coverage. This includes veterans who live in remote areas where health services are scarce. Meanwhile, costs are increasing while quality lags behind. We must do better, and we, as Americans, are all responsible for making a change.
